House socks

August 8, 2012

I love these socks. They’re great for slouching-around days like today, when it’s pouring down rain outside and the apartment gets a little chilly. They’re a nice alternative to slippers, and they’re equally comfy over thin socks or on their own. They’re starting to felt a tiny bit in the soles, after months and months of use, but I don’t mind. They’re bright and cheerful and obnoxious — like me on a good day.

Basic toe-up sock, using Jeny’s surprisingly stretchy bind-off for the first time. Yarn is Drops Big Fabel, about two skeins.

I LOVE the surprisingly stretchy bind off! We were just discussing it at my knit night and no one else had heard of it. I’m glad I’m not the only one!
Found you thru the Rav critique thread, awesome!
