I suddenly realized why this last week’s knitting felt different.
The little cat isn’t demanding room on my lap, or on my knitting, or under or on or around the working yarn. It’s been almost two weeks since we had to put her down, and I’ve been working undisturbed — and it’s been kind of lonely. Saskia will sometimes plop onto my lap if it’s convenient, but she doesn’t have the same need to be present and participating in what I’m doing.
I miss her.
